How to Get Involved

Individuals and organizations can be involved with the Project in two ways:

  1. Provide your time and expertise to the Implementation Teams - The Project has formed teams that will guide the development of many interventions. These teams meet approximately monthly.
  2. Share your information with us - The Project can disseminate details about your activities, resources, and research to the broad community through this website and its Asthma Information Center web site (www.American Cities Projec.org/InfoCenter), Implementation Teams, and list serve.

Benefits to project participation include:

  • Improving the lives of children with asthma in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
  • Having ready access to information and services provided through the Minnesota Asthma Information Center.
  • Participating in a community-based initiative.
  • Networking with other professionals and health care providers in your community who are providing care for children with asthma.
  • Representing your organization to benefit public health.
  • Influencing public policy related to childhood asthma.
